Onboarding

• How do you get to know my brand and our client’s brands?

  The hefty discovery process includes a questionnaire and 30-minute strategy call with you. Then, behind the scenes– I'm stalking your brand to learn your voice, product, and differentiators. When it comes to your clients, I’m leaning on you to provide the brief, then using my quick brain to get up to speed and send over the copy in a few days. We will only hop on that call initially. For new clients, we’ll be communicating asynchronously over Loom, through email, or by having me read up on a client independently. 

  If you’re looking for an analytic researcher, you’ll be crying in the club. If you want someone who intuitively gets it, then executes– life is about to change.

• What’s the minimum amount I have to commit to The Club?

  You are committing to spending $3000 on copywriting within 6 months. No retainer fees. Everything you pay, you get to use.

The Deliverables

• How do I order deliverables?

  All you have to do is email me what you’d like to order. I’m keeping track on my end, so no admin work or rigid process for you.

• What if I have a copy need that isn’t on The Menu? 

  Most needs are, but when you need a quick spruce up, audit, review, or little blurb written– flex time is a founder’s best friend. I’ll use it for any needs that aren’t covered on the menu. I bill hourly at $500 an hour for flex time– and have been told I work terrifyingly fast, doing what’s been taking over a week in under 90 minutes. 

  I can also record audits using Flex Time, but anytime we hop on the phone and talk messaging strategy, that’s a consulting hour billed at $750 an hour.

• How long is the turnaround time? 

  3-5 days. I’ll let you know about time off or any changes to the turnaround time.

• If I place an order on May 30th, does that count as a May or June order?   

  Deliverables are counted when the order is placed. So May.

The Usage-Based Payment System

• Can you explain the ‘minimum spend’ payment system in a different way?

  100%. It costs a minimum of $3000 to be a part of The Club. But this minimum spend is on copy, not a subscription or membership fee to retain me on your team. 

  Why I love it: There’s no cost to be a part of The Club. Everything you’re paying is going toward something you’re getting. 

• What does a minimum spend mean?

  A minimum spend means to be a part of The Club, you have to hit a certain spend within 6 months. If you do not spend $3000 within 6 months, it will expire.

• What does it mean when you say I have a tab?

  As a member of the club, I will put an initial $3000 onto your tab to use when you order from The Menu. If you use it up before the 6 months are up, I offer a 5% copy on us bonus if you add another $3,000 to the tab. 

  Then, when you place an order, I’ll automatically debit the amount from your tab.

• What happens if I run out of money on my tab? 

  If you’re within your first 6 months, you can pay as you go. If 6 months have passed, you’ll have to add $3,000 to the tab to get back into The Club. If you’re still within your first 6 months or it’s been less than 6 months since your last top up, you get 5% copy on us whenever you put another $3,000 onto your tab. 

  If you make an ask with insufficient funds, I’ll reach out and invoice you to put more into your account.

• Are there any benefits to me putting more on my prepaid tab? 

  Yep! For any add (after the initial $3,000) that’s over $3,000 you get 5% copy on me to use on any Menu items. This is $150 free on a $3000 top up. You must top up before the 6 months end to get this.

• If I put extra money on my tab, can I get it refunded? 

  I do not offer refunds as a part of The Club, so all money added to the tab needs to go toward copy needs from The Menu or Flex Time.

Revisions

• Are revisions included for the deliverables?

  Yes, 1 round of revisions is included on every piece of copy. You have one week from delivery to request these.

• How do I make revisions on the copy you send?

  By making comments on the Google Doc, then pinging me over email when they’re ready for me to revise. I’ll go in and make those revisions for you. You have a week to request revisions.

Communication

• How do I place a request?

  By emailing me what you’d like done.

• How do I ask you questions?

  I’m available by email. You’re welcome to ask me questions about what you need if you’re trying to solve something, but aren’t sure which deliverables will get you there.

• Can I book a strategy call with you? Can you come to client meetings?

  Yes, as a member of the club– you can always request time with me for $750 an hour or $325 for a half hour. I can formulate offers, audit client websites, work with you on your positioning, define your differentiators, or come up with a sales strategy for you during these consulting hours.
